| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study was to clarify what transformations were observed in children’s sight-singing ability through the practice of an exercise to develop sight-singing ability in elementary music classrooms. The exercise in this study introduced body movements to imagine pitches and to strengthen the memory of the pitch “do"(C4), referring to the eurythmic music teaching approach. The exercise was practiced 15 times for nearly two months by all the thirdgrade children of Z elementary school (N = 78) in Hiroshima City, and practical music tests were conducted thrice to clarify transformations in sight-singing ability. Results showed improvement in children’s sight-singing ability and the effects of exercise practice. | |||||||||||||
