The purpose of this paper is to categorize nursery school teachers' work through observation with one-year olds as well as teacher interviews. Using this data, we examine how to utilize it in nursery teachers' training curriculum.  Three researchers observed nursery teacher's work separately and recorded how they worked with 1- year - olds in the classroom for half a day, in 6 public and private nursery schools in Japan. Recorded tasks were categorized into three categories: education, care and other.
